Extracurricular activity impact on foreign language education upgrading at university

Due to integration processes in the Russian and international education environments, the issue of foreign language education improvement has become urgent. The objective of this article is to study how opportunities for extracurricular foreign language learning can increase the quality of foreign education at university. In order to achieve this objective the following methods: the analysis of theoretical and practical terms, definitions' analysis and the experimental level assessment approach to foreign language proficiency have been applied. The results show that the feasibility of extracurricular foreign language learning has been justified as it is an integral part of foreign language education at university. Certain entity data of extracurricular foreign language learning, and terms of efficiency as well as contributing types of training to increase the quality of foreign education at university have been stated. The analysis has been made, the feasibility of extracurricular foreign language learning has been justified, examples of types of extracurricular foreign language learning have been stated. All these issues can be regarded as a research and instructional methodology background to implement extracurricular foreign language learning in order to increase the quality of foreign language education at university.
