Migration processes of the 21st century are a global phenomenon in the modern world. They affect not only the social, demographic and economic development of countries, but also inevitably affect the state of crime. According to the report of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, in 2020 the Russian Federation was among the top five countries in the world in terms of the largest number of migrants - 12 million people, after the United States - 51 million people, Germany - about 16 million people, Saudi Arabia - 13 million people and Great Britain - 9 million people. Russia's migration attractiveness today remains, despite the consequences of the pandemic and the difficult geopolitical situation.
