Methodological support for the implementation of professionally oriented content of general educational disciplines of secondary vocational education

The introduction of a professional focus in the content of teaching general educational disciplines implemented on the basis of basic general education in the system of secondary vocational education is due to the desire to improve the quality of general educational training of students. As tools for this process, it is proposed to use the update of teaching methods and technologies, the inclusion of professionally oriented content, elements of intensive training, applied modules, which is due to a number of regulatory documents in force in the system of secondary vocational education. Orientation of the content of general educational disciplines to future professional activity enhances both personal and professional development of students. However, in practice, teachers of secondary vocational education institutions face a number of problems, among which the following stand out: - lack of practice in integrating the content of general education subjects with disciplines of the general professional cycle and methodologically sound application of specific material for a certain group of specialties/professions; - lack of effective methods, teaching technologies, teaching aids, as well as techniques for correlating the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education and the results of educational programs of secondary vocational education; - the system of advanced training for teachers is not sufficiently focused on the formation of competencies that allow integrating the content of general education subjects with disciplines of the general professional cycle, due to the wide variety of specialties and professions of secondary vocational education, etc. The article describes the methodology for developing professionally oriented content of general education disciplines using the example of non-core specialties implemented in a pedagogical college. In order to optimize the methodological support for the implementation of the professionally oriented content of general education disciplines, the methodological service of the GBPOU “Magnitogorsk Pedagogical College” developed methodological recommendations containing algorithms that take into account the structural and substantive elements of thematic planning, and also used a competence matrix. Work on methodological support of general education disciplines with a professional focus, implemented in secondary vocational education programs, is aimed at the following result: - optimization and intensification of the educational process; - understanding the possibilities of applying general educational knowledge in future professional activities; - increasing students’ motivation to obtain a profession/specialty.
