Extra-curricular local history activities as a way of forming historical consciousness

This article defines the educational and cognitive potential of extracurricular work on the subject of history, and also considers the main forms of extracurricular local history work, presents several types of pedagogical excursions as methods of forming the historical consciousness of schoolchildren outside the classroom system. The author of the article conducted a survey of students and revealed the degree of effectiveness of the studied methods of extracurricular work on history.
