The combination of professional discourse presented by the «pilot – air traffic controller» communication and everyday discourse realized by in-cockpit conversations conditions heterogeneity of radio-telephony communication. Subcode-switching ensures that communicants choose one of the above-mentioned discourse types depending on the character of communication and an interlocutor.
