Comparative treatment results of 74 acute complicated cholecystitis patients while using standard drug therapy (n=36, controls) and drug therapy combined with intracavitary laser irradiation of polyoxidonium (n=38) are given in the article. It is concluded that intracavitary laser irradiation using endolymphatic polyoxidonium is safe and can be used as method of choice while drug therapy is not enough effective.
