The volunteering movement in the Siberian region

The article deals with volunteering as a social phenomenon. On the basis of the sociological survey results, the authors present the data on the state and structure of the volunteering movement and determine some features and factors of the volunteering activity of the Volunteers Corps of Novosibirsk Region. It is concluded that the local volunteer services are more of pragmatic nature, and it is necessary to develop its social aspect in this region.
