The main role and functionality of volunteer assistants is considered. Today, park volunteering is one of the most common and popular areas of volunteer labor in foreign countries with its own attributive characteristics and distinctive features, and a clear organized structure. The movement is designed to unite volunteers aimed at transforming urban park areas and arranging public spaces. The trend of developing park volunteerism in Russia is only gaining momentum. Having first covered the capital's large parks, the volunteer movement received an impetus for development in urban park spaces in the regions. The theoretical material is supported by examples of practices of domestic parks in the field of using volunteer labor and interaction with volunteer activists.
