The article examines instrumental singing in the musical and performing context of teaching. The methods of mastering vocal art and the history of the origin of vocal techniques were analyzed. The article also examines the process of the genesis of instrumental vocals, the origins of which are associated with the music of the “third movement”. Classics, or more correctly, academic music is called the “first movement,” the “second” is jazz, and their fusion into a single genre is called the “third movement”. During the Baroque era. instrumental music replaced vocals, which dominated during the Renaissance. A special place is occupied by the inventions of J. S. Bach, which he created for instrumentalists. The first goal was to develop singing skills, and the second was to achieve professionalism in handling the two and three required voices. Current propagandists of the music of the “third movement”, and the methodological and instrumental singing that follows from it, perform these inventions both solo and in two voices. The relevance of the article lies in an attempt to attract additional interest to this topic in terms of musical education. As a result of the study, it was determined what skills and form of thinking teachers and students in this discipline should have. Particular attention in the article is paid to the origins of instrumental singing and the music of the “third movement”.
