Issues of using specific knowledge in criminal proceedings at the present stage

It is noted in the article that the state of crime in the country, the level of its detection and the effectiveness of crime investigation are influenced by many factors, which are both of individual and systematic character. Among such factors, of course, is the digitalization of all spheres of life of the society and the state. On the basis of theoretical points of view and the law enforcement practice the authors examine such a relatively new direction in using specific knowledge in criminal proceedings as a specialist's «review». Competent and effective use of specific knowledge, taking into account modern realities in the course of solving and investigating crimes will contribute to achieving the goals of criminal proceedings.
