The issues of criminalizing embezzlement from the bank account as well as electronic money

The article considers the issues related to changes in the current criminal legislation with regard to criminalizing embezzlement committed from bank accounts as well as electronic money. The author analyzes the social danger of these attacks at the present stage of community development. The inadmissibility of the existing difference in sanctions provided for committing theft from a bank account and theft of electronic money, fraud committed by using electronic means of payment as well as fraud in sphere of computer data is noted. The result of the studyis the decision to introduce a new norm into the current criminal legislation.
