Issues of professional training of employees of security and convoy units in Russia and foreign countries

Based on the competence approach, the article examines the professionally signi cant qualities of employees in the security and convoy units of the Ministry of Internal A airs of Russia and the corresponding units in the police of foreign countries. The established traditions of policing, cultural peculiarities are re ected in the priorities of choosing key competencies in the training and selection of personnel. The necessity and possibility of further development of the competence approach in the Ministry of Internal A airs of Russia, which is the main one in professional training, recruitment of police units, monitoring the quality of personnel, is shown.
