Issues of development of creative activity of primary school students at the lessons of literary reading

Literary text is the most effective means of improving the creative abilities of elementary school students. This tool has been studied since the beginning of the 20th century, and has taken a certain place in school practice. The article considers the history of research, revealing the role and methods of literary texts in the development of students' creative activity. The works of Russian and Kyrgyz methodologists are analyzed. The ideas presented in the article may be useful for primary school teachers in matters of the history of pedagogy.
