Value orientation education of students to environmental activities in the process of forming their ecological competence

The authors describe the problem of educating students' value orientations in the aspect of the formation of ecological competence by taking into account local environmental activities. It is relevant due to the fact that in the context of the implementation of the Concept of Economic Development of the Russian Federation the success of educational work at the university depends on the level of formation of ecological competence of students. The purpose of the study is to reveal the problems of value orientations education to the process of formation of ecological competence of students taking into account the local environmental situation and to estimate its level. The value orientations education to the formation of ecological competence of students is described through the ratio of factors of value orientations and their changes. The methodology of A.D. Leontiev was used to identify the levels of students’ value orientations. The authors present a concrete experience of educating value orientations to the process of forming ecological competence of students taking into account the local environmental situation at the Motor-road Department and the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of the North-Eastern Federal University. The results can be used to further study the possibility of spreading this experience of educating students' value orientations, taking into account the local environmental situation in educational organizations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
