Development of schoolchildren personality mobility based on the principle of activity by J.A. Comenius

Mobility is certainly a necessary quality of a modern person, who wants to be successful in life, to realize his needs and potential. Modern scientists recognize the importance of the development of personality mobility of schoolchildren in the educational process. We think that the development of the personality mobility can be started at school, preparing students for life in a changing world. This article focuses on the interpretation of the development of personality mobility features of schoolchildren based on the pedagogical principle of activity, introduced by J.A. Comenius - a great Czech philosopher, thinker and teacher of the seventeenth century. To achieve this goal the analysis of the literature on the development of personality mobility of schoolchildren and the analysis of legal and methodical documents in the field of general education were made. The paper identified the areas of the development of personality mobility of schoolchildren both in the educational process and during the extracurricular activities. It also clarified the teachers’ functions in each area. The author defines two areas of the development of personality mobility of schoolchildren, each having its own characteristics. The results can be used in the professional activity of teachers interested in the development of the personality mobility of schoolchildren.
