Educational work in water transport secondary vocational institution: managerial aspect

The paper reviews the management processes of educational work in secondary vocational education institutions. The main distinctive feature of educational work in this type of institution is its purpose that implies the education of future specialists with the established interests in certain areas of science, the development of their creative abilities, the collaboration with higher education institutions. The paper shows the characteristics of educational activities while training military students majoring in Far North water transport by a case study of Yakut Institute of Water Transport (secondary vocational education department). The research describes the structure and functions of the Educational Affairs Department in the above-mentioned institute. The authors review the issues of collaboration between the Educational Affairs Department of Yakut Institute of Water Transport and external organizations (executive bodies, education institutions, offices). The study emphasizes the significance of activities conducive to the development of military student government.
