The educational importance of teaching folklore

The article examines the educational content of folklore, which increases the interest of today's junior schoolchildren in books. Also folklore, i.e. scientific study of proverbs, riddles, poems, fables in the literary program and their characteristics, differences, genre features, pedagogical conditions of school education. Literary lessons are focused on methods, techniques and means, methods, technologies and their features of the formation of reading comprehension skills in teaching folklore. The methods of teaching folklore in primary school were also discussed.
