Reproduction of labor resources: on the issue of a sociological approach

The article presents the experience of applying sociological analysis in relation to one of the central concepts of labor economics - the reproduction of labor resources. Accordingly, the three stages of this phenomenon - formation, distribution and usage - are characterized by the processes occurring at each of the designated stages. The importance of paying attention to these social aspects of the implementation of the stages of reproduction processes in the field of labor resources for a more balanced consideration and coordination of the interests of social groups to solve problems in the labor sphere is shown. The discussion of the issue of working time duration from the perspective of historical concepts (K. Marx, E. Durkheim) and modern scientific community is considered. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that reproduction of labor resources is impossible without compliance with a number of conditions, including the optimal ratio of material remuneration and qualification of an employee, providing opportunities for professional growth and accumulation of knowledge, setting standards for working hours based on labor productivity.
