Luminescent microscopy was used to study the results of administration of autologous bone marrow multi potent mesenchymal stem cells (BM MMSC) with GFP gene in the thrombosed vein of a rat's hind leg. It was found out that genuine thrombolysis leading to the re-establishment of blood flow in the thrombosed main vein tends to block the fusion of BM MMSC administered into the wall of the thrombosed vessel. In small branches off the main vein after thrombolysis modeling, the lumen also gets thrombosed, with blood flow re-established either through recanalization or due to the formation of new vessels instead of the obliterated ones. The presence of BM MMSC revealed in the small vessels points to participation of the former in these processes, which results in faster blood flow re-establishment in a tissue microregion of the damaged vein followed by subsequent repair of the recipient's autologous cells.
