Personnel involvement as a tool for increasing the efficiency of the company's activity

The article analyzes the approaches to defining the concept of "involvement" by foreign and domestic scientists, their common features and differences. Having summarized the theoretical approaches, we offer our own interpretation of the concept of personnel involvement. We also present the studies of the last decade relating to the negative and positive impact of the level of employee involvement on the results of economic activity of both the individual company and the country as a whole. Sufficient attention is paid to the classification of personnel involvement factors, and it is proposed to group factors developed by the Gallup consulting group according to certain criteria: company policy, organization of labour, organizational climate, self-realization. We have considered motivational tools used by modern companies that increase the involvement of staff and improve the efficiency of their activities. The conducted analysis allowed us to recommend four more motivational tools: free access of employees to information about the company's image and its position in the market, personnel career planning and creation of a personnel reserve from internal employees, favourable working conditions for the performance of official duties, transparent wage system.
