Employee engagement in the activities of a socially oriented non-profit organization (case study of “Zvezdny dozhd”)

The article presents the results of a study of employee engagement methods in the activities of a socially oriented non-profit organization (SO NPO) using the case of ANO Zvezdny Dozhd (Chelyabinsk, Russia). Engagement is considered a key factor in the effectiveness of NPOs, influencing the quality of services and organizational sustainability. The study employed the engagement assessment method by T.A. Tatarinova and V.I. Dominyak, the Gallup Q12 questionnaire, and A. Saks’ method. The sample consisted of 40 employees (80 % of staff, excluding the management team). The results showed that most employees (55 %) demonstrate medium engagement, 30 % — high, and 15 % — low. The highest engagement was recorded in aspects of external interaction and mission identification, while the lowest — in strategic and organizational processes. The study concludes with recommendations for improving motivation systems, recognition, and employee involvement in decision-making processes.
