The paper discusses the impact of public opinion on the development of values of vigorous activity and appropriate behavior of Russians related not only to the financial well-being but also to the opportunities for self-development, proficiency enhancement and developing their potential. Under the influence of public opinion, a widespread attitude to vigorous labor activity appears as a system of interrelated reactions, actions or omissions by citizens within the implementation of freedom of will, self-determination, self-improvement. Public opinion forms an active stand on upholding the individual ability to determine the behavior pattern of vigorous labor activity and exercise of volitional choice that includes awareness, experience, determination, courage. The study on the relationships between public opinion and vigorous labor activity is essential for both the theory and practice of labor psychology, social psychology and ensuring legal standards of democratic states guaranteeing the right to work, free use of their abilities to work, right to choose a career, right to protection against unemployment.
