Possibilities and feasibility of using ultracaine D-S forte in veterinary medicine

This work summarizes the results of studying of pharmaco-toxicological properties of ultracaine D- S forte, as well as the possibility of its use in veterinary practice. It was found that the use of ultracaine for performing over pleoral blockade facilitates the body''s state with ulcerative lesions of the gastric mucosa, as well as liver lesions caused by repeated intramuscular injection of CCl4 in rats. It was proved that the intratesticular injection of ultracaine D-S forte at a dose 0.5 ml provides reliable anesthesia during cats castration. The use of ultracain D-S forte at a dose 8-10 mg / kg for sacral epidural anesthesia provides effective anesthesia during tail amputation on dogs.
