Possibilities of using digital technologies in solving and investigating crimes: practical aspects

The article considers the directions for the introduction and use of means of digitalization in various spheres of society, such as: economic, social, law enforcement. The authors describe the possibilities of using digital technologies in the activities of law enforcement agencies, particularly, in solving crimes and searching for criminals through the establishment and usage of information referral systems; in information and analytical support of the investigation and electronic monitoring criminal cases; the use in solving the tasks of law enforcement agencies of complexes created in certain civilian areas of activity (the biometric system of Sberbank, electronic trading platforms, social networks, etc.). Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the hardware and software complex «Safe City» by the example of various territories of the Russian Federation.
