Possibilities of using practically oriented tasks aimed at developing natural science literacy in geography

This article considers an integrated approach to the study of the possibilities of applying practice-oriented tasks in regular and extracurricular activities in geography, in order to form and develop students' natural science literacy. Since teachers of modern schools often encounter various obstacles on the way to implementation, among which one can single out such as, for example: an underdeveloped practical component and loss of continuity of textbooks, insufficient effectiveness of online communities, and lack of study hours, as well as lack of motivation among students. The article analyzes the impact of the proposed didactic developments on the assimilation of material by students, the development of critical thinking skills, the formation of an active lifestyle, increasing students' interest in natural sciences, and the development of skills for applying acquired knowledge in a real-life situation. The possibility of integrating other natural science disciplines in geography is also being considered. The results of the study are conclusions and recommendations based on the collected data, as well as determining further prospects for the development of teaching geographical science using practical tasks aimed at the formation of natural science literacy.
