Beam diagnostics of endometrial cancer in patients with metabolic syndrome

Eighty three women with endometrial cancer in association with metabolic syndrome were included in the study. Combination of ultrasound diagnostics with helical computed tomography augmented quality of evaluation of cancer spread degree and localization of pathological process providing evidence for cancer invasion into cervical mucosa, myometrium, parametrial tissue, and lymphatic system and contributing to accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Our data confirmed efficacy of combined use of ultrasound technique and multislice computed tomography in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer in patients with metabolic syndrome.
