Opportunities of Microsoft Teams for organization of distance learning for students

The article deals with the problem of organizing distance learning. We have analyzed the opportunities of using Office 365, Microsoft Teams. Office 365 is a Microsoft software that combines popular applications. Microsoft Teams Education is a platform for organization of eLearning environment in the educational process. In the article we have considered the organization of teams (adding participants, changing the team, using tags, sending a link to the team, adding a channel), content placement, use of class notebook, creation of assignments and tests, videoconferencing, use of online whiteboard, cloud storage, and reports. Special attention is paid to organization of videoconferences. We have compared Microsoft Teams and Moodle virtual educational platforms, and presented the experience of using these platforms in distance learning at Buryat Institute of Infocommunications (branch) of Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics
