The opportunities of pedagogical university educational environment in development of student social competence

The article analyzes the opportunities of pedagogical university educational environment in development of future teachers’ social competence. Well-developed social competence is one of the features of professional maturity. Therefore, social competence is considered as the most important component of teacher professional competence. We have developed a model of educational environment on the basis of Pedagogical Institute at Buryat State University. This model defines the components of teaching decorative arts and design and their place in formation and development of future teachers’ competence. The content, methods and forms of teaching are revealed on the basis of description structural elements of educational environment. Activities of teacher and tutor are aimed at actualization of the selected components of educational environment for development of students’ social competence. The results of our experimental work are briefly presented in the article.
