Opportunities for applying artificial intelligence to help students with dyslexia: a review of solutions

Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty, manifested by difficulty with reading, writing and spelling, that affects a significant number of adults and children around the world. With the development of technology, and in particular artificial intelligence (AI), new perspectives are opening up to create adaptive tools to support the learning of children with dyslexia. This article explores the main approaches, of using AI to support students with dyslexia. The aim of the article is to review the possibilities and develop suggestions for the use of AI that can be used to help people and children with dyslexia, including adaptive learning, specialized word processing technologies and AI-based support system. During the research process, both foreign and domestic research papers on the use of AI in educational and assistive technologies for people with dyslexia were analyzed. The results of the study show that the use of AI, including personalized learning algorithms and edgy types of text processing, can significantly improve the level of development or independence in children with dyslexia. The article highlights the importance of further investment in the development of specialized AI technologies aimed at creating accessible and effective educational environments that ultimately promote social inclusion and professional fulfillment for people with dyslexia.
