Measured the area of channels of vertebral artery in 215 patients with degenerative diseases of the spine at the cervical level on both sides with spiral computed tomography. Patients with the main group of 107 people at the complex survey revealed varying severity vertebral artery syndrome. For bone and soft tissue components define the extent of a particular type of compression vertebral artery, which was assessed by a decrease in cross sectional area of the vertebral artery canal compared to the other side. Considered it a moderate decrease in the area for at least one of the components by 15-30%, severe - a decrease by 31-60% and significant - more than 60%. Depending on the degree of compression of the vertebral artery have made one or another form of treatment.
