Age changes in mineral compositions of standard mink skin-hair cover

Concentrations of macro- and microelements: K, Ca, Mg, Na, P, Co, Cu, Cr, Fe, I, Mn, Se, Zn have been determined by atomic-emission and mass-spectrometry in Optima-2000 DM and ELAN-9000 (Perkin-Elmer, USA) in standard mink skin and hair. Concentrations of mineral elements in standard mink skin and hair change with age of mink and have definite value for different post-natal ontogenesis phases. It is determining the correlation between skin and hair mineral composition.
