The article is an obituary on the occasion of the death of a graduate and long-time teacher of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, associate professor of the Department of Theology, candidate of theology, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, author of the scientific journal “Works of the Department of Theology of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy” Archpriest Kirill Vladimirovich Kopeikin. His biography is outlined, his main scientific works, achievements and merits are noted and characterized. It is emphasized that the deceased was a prominent Orthodox scholar, whose life and professional path are inextricably linked with his two alma maters — the St. Petersburg Theological Academy and the St. Petersburg State University. It is shown that the personality, scientific and pedagogical works and pastoral activities of Archpriest Kirill Kopeikin served as a kind of bridge to each other for representatives of church and secular education and science.
