Pests of agrocoenosis of oil flax and ways to reduce their numbers (review)

Species composition of phytophages of oil flax agrocoenosis mainly is represented by 24 insect species. They belong to the following orders: Coleoptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Thysanoptera, Diptera, Orthopte ra, as well as Acarina - arthropods type, class chelicerates, mites order. To control pests of oil flax, the whole complex of agrotechnical measures is used to obtain a healthy, high-quality yield. It includes strict observance of crop rotation with growing flax at the same field no earlier than 7 years after, conducting timely and complete clearing of fields from flax residues, high-quality deep fall plowing and seedbed preparation, sowing flax at optimal times with healthy, well-cleaned high-quality treated seeds, application of a balanced amount of macro- and micronutrients for flax. Insecticides, approved for application on the territory of the Russian Federation, are used for pre-sowing treatment of oil flax seeds and for protection of vegetative plants of this crop from a complex of pests.
