Time characteristics of activities in the Russian and Chinese proverbs through the prism of the concept “overmuch”

In the Russian and Chinese proverbs there is revealed the semantics of overmuch as a tool of the evaluation of the people activities in the aspect of their time characteristics - in the parameters “too seldom/often” or “too quickly, speedily/slowly”, closely associated with the semantics of activities. The linguistic and culturological attitudes in the proverbs of two languages find out the universal (the judgement of the hasty activities as unproductive, the irony referring to the extreme tardiness, etc.) and ethnic labelled (in the vision of the activities and actions of people) characteristics.
