The article analyzes the „Stalin's” episodes in the novel of the Siberian writer V. Ya. Zazubrin „Mountains” (1930-1933) in the aspect of the plot situation „meeting with the sovereign”. The „Stalin,s” pages of the Zazubrin novel complement the literary series, built in the context of the problem being studied in the works of A. K. Zholkovsky and E. N. Proskurina and composed of the works of Pushkin, L. Tolstoy, F. Iskander. In the center of the analysis of this work are those fragments of the novel by V. Zazubrin, which are connected with the image of Stalin, the perception by the hero of the personality of the „father of nations” and his role in the general structure of the plot devoted to the problems of collectivization of the Altai village. In the context of the novel plot are also embedded personal impressions of the meetings of Zazubrin with Stalin. Results of the research. As the analysis showed, the plot situation of the „meeting with the sovereign”, which appears more than once in the „Mountains” novel, being part of the author,s ideological task, acts as a kind of foreign body in the plot, destroying its unity. The biographical aspect also plays a significant role in this case: showing Zazubrin as a disgraced writer of his political orthodoxy of power. However, the protagonist of the work are the Altai mountains, depicted by the author in bright exotic colors.
