Identifying the Developmental Characteristics of Claims to Recognition During Preschool Age

This article analyzes the phenomenon of aspirations for recognition in the fi rst stages of personality development. It is found that aspirations manifest themselves across all structural components of self-awareness, have individual characteristics, and develop gradually from ages 3 to 7. The fi ndings highlight the importance of developing targeted interventions in the area of child personal development aimed at supporting the process of appropriating societal norms and values, and the child’s conscious expression of their own value system as a means of asserting themselves and the value orientations of society.
