Extracts from the «Life of St. Nifont» in ancient collections

The article deals with the sources of distribution words and teachings of St. Nifont in ancient manuscripts of different composition. Author focuses on the range of topics the words Reverend Father and the role of his morals for studying the religious traditions and the spiritual life of Russian people. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the texts of sermons with parallels ancient editions of the «Life Nifont» on which the conclusion about the origin of the majority teachings from the short version. Article written on little studied manuscripts.
