Concessive relations in the Korean language can be expressed by many conjunctive affixes. Depending on the speakers' recognition of the content marked by conjunctive affix as realistic or supposed, real or unreal different concession meanings are expressed. There are two types of concession meanings classified according to possibility of realization of events: realistic concession and causal concession. Last one can be divided into supposition of future event of possible world and supposition of unreal event. All conjunctive affixes of concession, except -(eu)ndeul, can express these meanings with different modal attitude. Modality plays a significant role in the determination of the grammatical context of conjunctive affixes of concession.
