As the number of patients with bladder cancer (BC) increases, the proportion of patients with muscle-invasive disease is also increasing. Today, the main method of treatment of poorly low- differentiated, muscle-invasive and recurrent BC is radical cystectomy with various methods of urinary diversion. Radiation therapy in the postoperative period is associated with the development of a number of complications that significantly worsen the results of treatment and quality of life in this category of patients. The planning of multimodality treatment in patients with locally advanced BC (T3-T4) and in patients undergoing radical cystectomy with positive resection margin (R+) is not defined by clinical guidelines, which was the reason for our study.
Bladder cancer (bc), urinary derivation, cystectomy, bricker operation
