The basic areas of cooperating institutions of general, supplementary and vocational education are revealed. The functions of institutions of supplementary education in schoolchildren's self-determination are described. The network model of cooperating institutions of general and supplementary education is elaborated. The models of specialized education are worked out and experimentally tested. The implementation of the models is based on integration of some resources of general and supplementary educational institutions: material, personnel, scientific and methodological. The peculiarities of modern specialized education are revealed.
