The article describes the ideological evolution of K. P. Pobedonostsev, who brought him closer as a prominent representative of the right wing of Westernism B. N. Chicherin, and with the famous Slavophiles I. S. Aksakov and V. P. Meshchersky. In the course of this evolution, Pobedonostsev’s ideas, which had important points of contact with pochvenism, led him to collaborate with F. M. Dostoevsky. The article shows the role of this cooperation in the development of conservative social thought in the second half of the 19th century.
