Interrelation between locus of control and motivation of military personnel training

The article is devoted to the study of the professionally important qualities of military personnel who are undergoing advanced training at the Training Center of the Signal Corps. The problem is important because of the lack of empirical studies devoted to the relationship between the motivation of training and the indicators of internality, which are implemented in various spheres of their life. The article reveals the differences in the relationship between the locus of control and motivation for training military personnel. The qualitative analysis revealed significant differences in the studied relationship: among contract servicemen the motivation for training is associated with internality in wide areas of social life such as family and work, and among conscripts there is a connection between the motivation for training and such areas of their life as internality in the field of health and interpersonal communication. An explanation of the revealed differences is proposed.
