The article deals with the problem of developing the motivation of learning and self-esteem of students with disabilities in the conditions of a university. The aim of the study is to identify the relationship between the motivation of learning and self-esteem of students with disabilities in various lines of life. The study sample consisted of 61 students with the status of HIA, including 30 women and 31 men on the basis of 6 Far Eastern higher education organizations. Data collection was carried out using the Dembo-Rubenstein self-assessment diagnostic technique modified by A.M. Parishioners and the survey «Academic Motivation Scale» by T. O. Gordeeva, O. A. Sycheva, E. N. Osina. The results showed that the scales of internal motivation have a positive relationship with self-esteem, while the scales of external motivation and amotivation revealed a negative relationship with self-esteem. The obtained results can be used to develop a program of psychological support for students with disabilities throughout the entire period of study at the university, taking into account the psychological constructs underlying the effectiveness of training, including learning motivation and self-esteem.
