The article examines the impact of the largest sports competitions - the Olympic Games on the economy of the country. The article describes the economic stages of the Olympics and their effect on the economy of the country. As a result, the recoupment of capital investments in construction of facilities and image revenues into the state budget of the host country of the Olympic Games is considered.
