This article presents the results of the empirical study, the purpose of which was to identify and analyze the correlation between subjective well-being and basic beliefs in adolescence. The study is based on the studies of such authors as R. Jano -Bulman, M. A. Padun, A. V. Kotelnikova, L. V. Kulikov, R. M. Shamionov, G. L. Puchkova, M. V. Sokolova. In the quality of the diagnostic methods, the questionnaires “Basic Belief Scale” (modi ed by M. A. Padun, A. V. Kotelnikova) and “Subjective Well-Being Scale” (adaptation by M. V. Sokolova) were used. An empirical study was conducted in 2022. The study sample included the students from schools in the city of Chelyabinsk aged 15 to 17. The analysis of the results of the study was carried out in the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program using Spearman’s rank correlation coe cient, according to which the correlation between the level of subjective well-being and the image of one’s own “Self” (r = -0.536), the level of subjective well-being and the degree of luck (r = -0.518), subjective well-being and control beliefs (r = -0.509) was detected. The results obtained allow us to conclude that there is a correlation between the level of subjective well-being of adolescent students and their beliefs on the value and signi cance of their own “Self”, as well as the beliefs on the justice of the world around them.
