The challenge of increasing labour resources in the far east

Бесплатный доступ

The Far East is a region that for a long time developed more slowly than other regions of the Russian Federation. One of the key problems of the Far East, noted by the researchers of demographic processes, is the outflow of the labour force and resident population in general over the past 30 years. According to the results of the studies, the reasons for the outflow are the uncomfortable living environment (in particular, the low quality of state and municipal services, unavailability of a number of public services), the reduction of state social guarantees, and the lack of a sufficient number of jobs. In order to develop the region and overcome negative trends, the state-run program of the Russian Federation "SocioEconomic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District" has been implemented. One of the main tasks and performance indicators of the State Program is the increasing and consolidation of labour resources in the Far East, including job gains. We have studied the issues of reflecting the objectives for creation of comfortable living conditions in the State Program, as well as the problems of new job formation in the Far East. The work is based on the statistical data, open data from sources on the Internet, and reporting of the recipients of grant commons.
