Tasks of the criminal procedure should be set forth in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation

The author analyzes the problem of validation of criminal procedure tasks. RF Criminal Procedure Code does not have indication of the criminal procedure tasks. Instead of that the legislator validated the criminal procedure purpose in Art.6. As a result of the carried out analysis of both Art. 6 of the RF Criminal Procedure Code and scientists' points of view concerning criminal procedure tasks the author grounds the necessity of validation of the tasks in the law.
