English American borrowings as the characteristic feature of the contemporary Russian linguistic personality

This article is devoted to the problem of accession of The Russian language vocabulary with the newest borrowings from American English, which is caused by the changing of the Russian national system of values. Borrowings are considered in the aspect of their influence on the forming of the modern linguistic personality. Specific lexical items, their formal and lexico-semantic adaptation are considered and the reasons of the borrowing process activation are assigned.
