The article is ai ed at the analysis of the foreign industrial borro ings in the descriptions of the explorers of the second half of the 18th century: I.I. Lepekhin, P.S. Pallas and I.P. Falk. It cosideres some specific German terms related to copper-smelting production. Their definitions are analyzed in different sources and dictionaries.
