The law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the prevention of violence in the family”: problems of legislative regulation and law-enforcement practice

The problem of domestic violence is one of the most pressing in modern Tajik society. Stressing the importance of this theme, the need to improve legislation in the area of the openings of the statement of domestic violence, the authors tried to analyze the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On prevention of domestic violence” and to identify some problems of current legislation, not only on theoretical but also on a practical level, creating obstacles to enforcement. The authors proposed a number of ways to address and overcome these problems by eliminating the relevant gaps in domestic legislation.
